What does a BCST session involve?

I will take a written case history on your first visit. It is important to gather some history from you and also to start establishing a sense of trust between us. You then lie fully clothed on a treatment couch. If you are unable to lie flat, you can be on your side, or in a chair. During the session you may find that you feel relaxed whilst I use a number of gentle hand contacts on your head, spine, feet and other areas of your body. I will always ask your permission before touching you.

What will I experience during a session?

People have reported a number of different experiences, but the most common ones are:

  • Relaxation and feeling grounded

  • Warmth and tingling buzzing sensations

  • Becoming more aware of your body

  • Increased energy

  • Sense of wellbeing and feeling more balanced

  • Seeing different colours and shapes during the session

  • Being able to safely let go of held emotions

How long is a session?

Craniosacral sessions usually last about an hour for adults and 45 minutes for children, although this can vary. The first session can be up to 1hour 20 minutes.

How many sessions should I have?

I recommend at least 2 or 3 sessions, but a course of 6 to 8 sessions will give the best results - especially if you are working to resolve trauma from past events. We can discuss this as the sessions unfold.

Why should I try BCST?

As the touch is so gentle and non invasive, BCST can facilitate a deepening stillness which allows you to rest and feel at ease, restoring your body’s natural health, balance and vitality. Many people have tried more traditional methods before reaching towards this therapy, only to wish they had tried is sooner.
