Cranio for kids

The benefits of Craniosacral Therapy on children is well documented and I am happy to treat children above the age of five. Be comfortable in the knowledge that I am a mother and regularly help children and young people.

What does Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy involve with my child?

I will have a phone chat with you beforehand to get to know your child’s history and any other information you might think useful. It is very important for your child to feel relaxed and ok with being in the treatment room. It may take a few sessions for the trust to establish between us. My job is to help your child feel at ease and welcomed and give them time to settle and to be themselves. Bring a teddy, build a den of cushions and blankets – whatever is required will be done to create a safe and relaxed space.

Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, carer or trusted person. It is important for the person present to be available for the child should they be needed.
Having explained to the child what I am about to do in order to gain her cooperation, I will then place my hands lightly and gently on her, always checking in to see if the touch is ok and welcomed. I gently ‘listen in’ with my hands to the various systems and energy of her body and, by slowing down and perhaps facilitating stillness, the child is able to find inner peace and wellbeing.

How can Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy help my child?

Craniosacral Therapy has been known to help with:

Anxiety

Insomnia

Hyperactivity

Birth Trauma

For older children/teenagers Craniosacral Therapy can help with exam stress and the insecurities of growing up.

I have been having treatment with Hannah for my stress which is related to exams & school pressure. I really enjoy her sessions and they have made a huge difference! I feel calmer, more confident and very relaxed. I feel more grounded at school. I really look forward to my treatments!
